I’ve had the phone for about a week now. Before I bought I checked out all the specs on Best Buy. Only thing absent is the Barometer sensor. Maybe this a slightly different model. Curious that it came w/no connection for earphone jack. But somewhere I got the idea that earphones with a USB-C type connection would work. Got a couple of pair w/USB-C jacks from Dollar Tree and they work – plugged into the charging port. The user’s manual I downloaded from Samsung site did not mention being water resistant, but maybe it is. You’ll have to buy a protective case. Everything seems to work well. Android Auto now works on Bluetooth w/out being plugged into the car. Phone works with my US Mobile plan. Wish it had a built-in app lock so I could just lock specific apps w/out locking the phone. It does have a secure folder but haven’t figured out how to make that work. The TCL I upgraded from had a real FM radio built in. That was nice but I couldn’t find that in any current models.

I used this unlocked, international Samsung phone as my travel phone on a long trip through Japan and Korea in summer 2025. I bought this model because it was recommended by the New York Times Wirecutter. It was authentic, reliable, and durable. It came in the original packaging and included the pin needed to open the SIM card ports. It worked beautifully using SIM cards from Japanese and Korean phone carriers, such as SK Telecom. I had no problems with the speed and because the phone has two SIM card ports, you can add a memory card to the second one. The phone is from Latin America but I am in the U.S. and the setup detected and offered the use of English for that process. I was also able to add the Korean keyboard in settings. I will be using this as my travel phone from now on! Using local SIM cards saved me a great deal of money over the carrier rates I would have had to pay on my locked U.S. iPhone. The phone easily paid for itself within the first few weeks of the trip.
